Gingerbread Christmas Biscuits

Preparation time : 15 minutes

Cooking time : 10 minutes


You will need :

500g of flour
1 teaspoon of baking powder
1 teaspoon of salt
2 teaspoon of ginger powder
2 teaspoon of cinamon powder
200g of butter
100g of caster sugar
100g of brown sugar
2 cups of golden sirup
2 whisked eggs


Recipe :

1. Pre-heat the oven at 200°C

2.Mix the flour, baking powder, salt, ginger powder, cinamon powder.

3.Melt the butter in a big pot. Add both of the sugars, the whisked eggs and the golden sirup .

4.Add the first mixture (flour, baking powder...) to the big pot and mix well.

5.Put the dough on a floured surface and knead. Then, roll the dough into 7 mm thick.

6.Cut out the biscuits in the shapes of gingerbread man.

7.Cook the biscuits on a grease proof paper for about 10 minutes.

8.You can make your own icing :
Mix 300g of icing sugar, a egg white and little bit of lemon juice . You can even add some food coloring and make some buttons with sweets.
