Electro house

The House music is a musical current which was born in the 80’s. This kind of music is characterized by a minimal rhythm, a line of bass near of the funk’s, and voices (not always) , sometimes sampled.

Nowadays, the House music is divided in a lot of variants, and the Electro House is one of them:

It’s a current which appeared around 2000, and played above all in Europe.

It’s characterized by sonorities more melodic than the first House music. This is the type of music which I prefer. The instruments which are used for the Electro House music are the synthesizer, the sequencer, and the sampler.

Some artists specialized in Electro House :

Avicii, a Swedish DJ, the most popular of the moment.

Daft Punk, a very popular French group, however, their songs are in English. They always

wear costumes at their concerts, to establish a futuristic atmosphere.

Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo (Daft Punk)

Deadmau5 ( pronounce “dead mouse”) , a Canadan DJ, easily recognizable by the mouse head costume he wears at his concerts.

Justice, a French duet. It’s a Christian group, they have even done an album which title is “†”.

 Their most popular songs : Civilization (2011) , On’n’on (2012) , D.A.N.C.E. (2007) , DVNO (2007), and Planisphere (2009).

Disfunktion. I don’t know anything about this group, there isn’t any information about it anywhere, but it exists. I discovered them on YouTube, and I’m fond of their musics, that’s why I add them in the article. Their songs : Galette,  Désolée, and L’apogée.

Klaas, a German DJ. He’s very famous especially thanks to his remix of Infinity 2008 (Guru Josh Project). His other popular songs :  What is love 2K9 (2009) , and Our own way (2010).
