ART EXHIBITION

One month ago I went to the FIAC in Paris. The FIAC is an exhibition for contemporary artists, which takes place in the “Grand Palais”. There are other art galleries, where the entrance ticket is less expensive, like Show off or Arts Elysées.

I saw lots of great paintings, a few funny or bizarre paintings and bad ones too! There were also big installations which were outside in the street.

You can see the work of many recent contemporary artists. On the other hand, there are also well known painters such as Salvador Dali, Juan Miro or Buffet.

People usually go to the FIAC to buy a painting for their house. It is for this reason that the entrance fee is high. For example I saw that the humorist Elie Semoun had bought a work of art!

However tourists also go to this exhibition just to look at art in Paris.

I think it is interesting to see the new art and to discover new international artists. Furthermore, teenagers prefer modern paintings, rather than classical paintings, for their vitality, novelty and originality.

There is something for all tastes: paintings with lots of lively colors, dark, abstract paintings, realist paintings, collages and video.

That's why I strongly advise you to go to one of these exhibitions next year!
